Patricia LaBorde is the senior vice president and Structured Settlement Division counsel at Stone Street Capital, LLC based in Bethesda, Maryland. Since joining Stone Street in 2003, Patricia has overseen all legal, regulatory, and transactional issues for its Structured Settlement Division. LaBorde has served as NASP’s Legal Committee chair and Conference Planning chair. Previously, LaBorde was a business and litigation attorney with a McLean, Virginia law firm, handling structured settlement transactions. She has a BA from the University of Delaware and a JD from The George Washington University.
Bob Thompson is the founder and principal officer of Annuity Transfers, Ltd. His career in consumer finance started at General Motors Acceptance Corporation, and he has worked in the banking industry, building and managing consumer loan portfolios. Thompson also spent more than nine years managing financial and administrative operations for the United States government and has served as an executive in the specialty finance business since 1997. He received a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA from George Washington University.
Andrew Savysky is a co-founding principal and executive officer of Structured Asset Funding, LLC. His career in structured settlements began in 1997. He is the NASP treasurer, chairs its Membership & Finance Committee, and sits on its Legal Committee. He graduated from Villanova University and holds a JD and MBA from American University in Washington, DC. Savysky is licensed to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the US District Court, Southern District of Maryland.
Mr. Sutherland is the Director of Capital Markets for DRB Capital, LLC and a board member of NASP. He has over 14 years of experience as an attorney and executive in the specialty funding arenas and is also the Founder and Managing Director of Citadel Financial, Ltd. Prior to founding Citadel, he was the Vice President of Legal Affairs for Peachtree Settlement Funding, where he also concentrated on the creation of financing facilities and was also an Associate Attorney at Brian Cave LLP. Jason received his B.A. from The University of Georgia and his J.D. from New England Law — Boston.
Stephen A. Kirkwood is General Counsel for JGWPT Holdings, LLC, the holding company for the JG Wentworth and Peachtree family of companies. He joined the Peachtree family of companies in 1999 and began working with Peachtree Settlement Funding on legal, legislative, and transactional matters relating to the structured settlement payment purchasing business. Since the merger of JG Wentworth and Peachtree in 2011, Kirkwood continued to manage legal matters for the combined companies. Kirkwood chairs NASP’s Fraud Database Committee. He graduated from Union College with a BS and received his law degree from Albany Law School. Stephen is currently manages the website committee.
Deborah Rosen is CEO of Settlement Capital. Previously, she served in various executive capacities in the mortgage industry, including managing director of Countrywide Home Loans Specialty Wholesale Division and as president of Associates Home Equity Services, the mortgage division of Associates First Capital Corporation in Irving, Texas. Rosen has served on the boards of many industry trade associations, including the American Financial Services Association, Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Mortgage Bankers, and the National Home Equity Mortgage Association.
Richard Connelly is the counsel and compliance officer of JGWPT Holdings, LLC, and was previously its general counsel. He has more than 30 years experience in general litigation and corporate law, as well as significant experience in personal injury and worker's compensation. He co-founded Receivables Management, Inc., an insurance auditing and adjusting firm for the hospital industry. When that firm merged with CRW Financial in 1993, he served as CRW's general counsel until it was sold to the NCO Group. Connelly is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pinnacle Value Fund. He earned his BA at LaSalle University and his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law.
Michael Damore is the General Counsel for Novation Settlement Solutions.
A partner with Nesbitt, Vassar, and McCown, LLC, Earl Nesbitt specializes in commercial and business litigation, and represents many structured settlement purchasing companies. He formerly was general counsel for the Settlement Capital Corporation and a partner in Jackson Walker, LLP in Dallas, Texas. Nesbitt takes a central role in NASP’s lobbying efforts, notably in the enactment of federal legislation governing the secondary market (26 U.S.C. § 5891). He is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law and the University of Texas at Austin.
Doyle Chisholm is the Associate General Counsel at Seneca One Finance, Inc. based in Bethesda, Maryland. Doyle joined Seneca One in 2004 and led the legal and transactional efforts of its Structured Settlement Division for six years before transitioning to the corporate legal office. In his current role, Chisholm is responsible for Seneca One’s legislative and compliance efforts for both the Structured Settlement and Lottery Divisions. Chisholm serves as NASP’s Conference Committee chair. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. He is admitted to the Virginia and Washington, DC bars.
